Five cool-growing orchid species aesthetically-presented as a group in a small, portable terrarium; the five species featured: Lepanthes caritensis, Lepanthes telipogonifilora, Lepanthes woodburyana, Lepanthes teretipetala, and Dendrobium cuthbertonii are cool-growing miniatures that are difficult to grow in a tropical setting; the judges present were unanimous in their judgment that the exhibitor presented well-grown and established plants that reflected his growing skill and expertise in addition of having quality level flowers. All the plants presented were evaluated for AOS awards and one, the Lepanthes caritensis was granted an AM/AOS and the exhibitor received a CCM/AOS for his cultivation of the species that is one of the most difficult to grow of the endemic species of Puerto Rico.
