The first World Orchid Congress in the Americas since 2008 will take place in Guayaquil, Ecuador in November of 2017.  Ecuador is home to over 4,000 different species and one never has to go far to discover something new. Orchid ‘Hunting’ may evoke an image of dense forest, blood-sucking insects and dangerous predators but it is perfectly easy to amble along Ecuador’s roads in comfort and find a wonderful variety of orchids and ordinary plants in camera’s reach.  Join Johan and Clare Hermans as they take us on an armchair orchid hunting trip along Ecuador's roadsides.
