2021/11 November ORCHIDS Magazine
Our November issue features the first of a stunning, three-part series on Barkeria hybrids authored by Robert Marsh and Dennis Szeszko. This small genus is unfortunately not well represented in our collections today and this series should make us all question why. Also featured in this issue is the concluding segment of Kelly McCracken's series on LED lighting - Let There Be Light; an article by Olaf Gruss on Paphiopedilum vejvarutianum, a Southeast Asian species only described in 2003; an article by David Rosenfeld, MD introducing us to Robert David Fitzgerald and his 19th century contributions to orchidology and, rounding out the issue a short article on the use of Cypripedium calceolus on postage stamps around the world by M. Lokeswara Rao.
