2025/08 August ORCHIDS Magazine

Featured this month is a lavishly illustrated article by Fred Clarke on modern Catasetinae hybrids. Jim Cootes continues his series on the genus Dendrobium with Part 12: Dendrobium section Distichophyllae, a widespread group of species with relatively small flowers borne at intervals throughout the year. Rounding out our features this month, Joseph Arditti and Hideka Kobayashi introduce us to the rostellum, the fourth small structure or organ in orchid flowers, and perhaps the least well-known.
